Sunday session 27.4.14

I have been on holidays for around 10 days now so I have ZERO inspiration for work this week and have failed at my holiday  mission of sourcing a sink and stovetop for my own kitchen reno which means this project will likely drag into next month now :O I have trawled through online tradestores as well as locally and given up every time so have neither. I am looking for an inset double ceramic butler sink in white that doesn’t cost $1000 dollars AND can be shipped to Darwin (soon) – this is a cry for HELP will someone please find me one??

What I do have however is plenty of inspiration for leisure and fashion and sleeping in and drinking wine on hot afternoons, which lets face it is EVERY afternoon here right now. So this week these are the things that I stumbled across that are worth browsing:

This is my local- The Darwin skiclub so obviously i spend a fair amount of time here sitting by the pool. This week has been perfect pool weather too

possible shoes to match a dress i just bought to wear to an upcoming country race meeting – very darwin style with palm leaves on them
kimono
i am having a bit of a kimono obsession at present and am trying very hard not to buy up a heap of them on ebay
orchid
Love this look, orchids and butterflies teamed with some floral and a splash of green is what i have in mind for my next race day out

A good little site to waste some time that you don’t have: http://creativesomething.net/

A good little site to spend money you don’t have to spare, guaranteed you will see something that you think you need here and it’s all pretty affordable it is easy to reason with yourself that it’s perfectly ok to buy another dress despite not having an occasion in mind to wear it too…. or do I have a shopping problem? http://cameothelabel.com.au/

A good little place to visit…for no reason at all, Oh did I mention it has wine? ok so that could be why its on my current list. http://quambyestate.com.au/

ideas

The one home that i did look at this week was a seaside ranch that I came across whilst browsing ranch style homes ( i spent some time immersed in until all that country goodness got too much for me and I retreated to the clean slick lines of modernism and my favourite design style – timer & white. ) This place caught my eye as it has a little Japanese flavour to it, unexpected in a seaside home but I am liking it alot.

image 1 image 4That’s me for this week, the sun is shining and it’s typical Darwin humid &  hot weather so I need to go make the most of my last day of the easter holidays. I have the fellas dad in town staying with us so will  drag him down to our local sunset markets… see if I can loose him in the crowd perhaps 😀
