This week I have struggled to keep my I  patience with small minded people, I have begrudgingly listened to an arrogant man rant at me while I suppressed the urge to laugh in his face or pat his shoulder as he tangled himself into a FIT of pointless frustration, all the while thinking to myself ‘Wow… you really just don’t get it do you’?

Some people have sunshine in their souls and some just don’t. I pity those that can’t appreciate the beauty in creative people, or in art and design and lovely things, and instead only see the ruthless money side of things … but they can’t help it and it is they who are missing out not us.

This week I have painted, I have glued and I have nailed, I have hand picked fabrics and flowers and furniture, I have sketched homes that will soon be built, designed a room for families to share in, I have sketched a wedding dress soon to be made, I have searched and I have found but most importantly of all I have worked on beautiful spaces for beautiful people who appreciate it so I will not let the negativity of one person affect all of the things that make up the interior design work that I love to do.

I like spots. I like colourful. I like black way to much. I like black and white. I like timber and white. I like timber and marble. I like bohemian. I like unusual. I like whimsical and vintage and scandinavian all mixed into one and I like my style…a mix of all of these things and more. If you don’t get it then you just don’t get it.
