Getting work done with a new puppy is proving difficult this week, not just for the fact that the new addition to the house ‘little Angus’ seems to like colour swatches and fabric samples as much as I do (and scampers around the room with whatever stolen scraps that he can get his paws on), but also because I find myself gazing at him and losing track of time.

I have nearly completed a beautiful old waterfront home which I am immensely proud of as well as in love with, We are just waiting for some final pieces to arrive after the floor rugs finally arrived a few days ago. I have to tell you that I am absolutely obsessed with Mirabelle rugs which are similar to Nick Radfords stunning antique decolourised rugs which I have been a longtime fan of, I have used 4 Mirabelle in this beautiful home – 2 in blue plus a purple and a grey, in fact I love them so much that I am thinking of ordering one myself for our own bedroom. Can you guess which colour is my favourite?

Aside from this job I am playing with some concept designs for an old troppo home that I have been given free range to refurbish, also in the initial stages of selecting finishes for a large apartment complex being built later this year:
