June wrap up

June is the beginning of party season here in D-town, because incase you don’t know EVERYTHING that happens in Darwin starts in June and continues on through our dryseason (as opposed to the ‘wet season’ when it rains continually…Yeah I know- a lot of thought went into naming our whole 2 seasons here in the top end) until around august. I’ll go into the joke that is our top end seasons  another time in more detail when I’m not madly online shopping for all the articles of clothing I am going to need this month.

Our beautiful botanic garden which plays host to many soirees during the dry. This is where all the action is and where you will want to be

Aside from planning my dry season social life, celebrating the birthdays of my best friend and my favourite gay hubby’s 50th here’s what I have been looking at this month:

Pink lounges- I have looked at a LOT of these this month

Yep I have been flipping through catalogues, scouring websites and calling manufacturers galore in the search of the perfect pink floral lounge for a certain client. This is NOT the lounge I ended up with for her but it is as close as I can find right now as not-so-clever little me didn’t take a hot of the finished job. Note to self MUST start photographing my work so that I can brag about it on the blog. It came up nicely and client was happy and as such paid her bill on time so overall a winning situation. Nobody ask me for a pink lounge until next month, i am not yet over them.

More client stuff, I sourced the following things for a job and quite liked them so they are still sitting on my desktop so that I could show you. Thats it til next month! x
