December dreaming of Balnarring

Happy new year! I am getting in early so that I can can spend the last few days of holiday time doing what I do best aside from being a total design extraordinaire – Which is being a total sloth in bed, or on the couch, or on the patio, or by the pool…you get the idea.

While I think of it though I just wanted to share some things from our recent holiday at Balnarring on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. We got home today and I’m already missing it. I had a split christmas this year meaning that we pulled off the task of spending it with both our families instead of choosing one. We did this by having chrissy lunch with my family then jumping on a plane late that afternoon and flying down to stay with the fellas folks and celebrating christmas all over again on boxing day with his relos- was great fun I can recommend it to anyone who loves celebrating and wants to prolong the feasting and champagne guzzling for as long as possible.

Whilst there we did some house hunting and dreaming of where we would like to buy around that way in the coming year….or years. These homes are all lovely and I am dreaming for now as to us actually purchasing one of this GRAND scale being our first home, but dreaming is good. You will notice a recurring theme of timber and steel and concrete, 3 of my favourite elements in a house. Elegant while still  being raw, tough, and durable.20131108-103029 1318947130-balnarring-beach-house3-528x351
