Sunday session 29.5.16 “A wild woman’

Feeling wilder than usual this week
Feeling wilder than usual this week

I joined an online forum of creative women this week to get access to their meetings and brainstorming sessions as I have felt a little bit alone in my love of  A&D here in Darwin lately. Reading other creative women’s stories while learning about what they do or what inspires them has made me feel empowered to grow my business with more direction. I am the only member from the NT so far but I am hopeful that one day we will have meetings of our own here to encourage and build each other up.

I have been working on fun projects without the boring paperwork that goes with them so my creative energy level is high, this makes me buzz with excitement and I am finding inspiration everywhere.

I picked a fight with a grumpy builder and WON a few days ago, further fuelling my belief that I know absolutely evvvvvvvverything when I probably don’t but I push on gleefully.

I ordered some really cool products for an upcoming project and I planned a very beautiful custom job for another client which is exciting me to a ridiculous point and I just want this job to be over already so that i can share it with you.

I redid part of my little garden and felt Oh-so-clever… Then I lost the never-ending battle with the possums that come down the fence at nighttime to eat my potted herbs and I plotted their demise over a glass of icey sav while staring at the near empty pots of stems. Bastards.

Things I have been reading this week:

Fractal enlightenment website. It is as it sounds, enlightening.

Design Milk, and in particular about this amazing apartment, Also an Urban cabin -very cool, and this gorgeous Italian home in the woods, I would like to live here.

House-In-The-Woods-Officina29-Architetti-2-600x900 HI-MACS-Canal-House-1

Barefoot five blog. A Facebook page I have followed for awhile now but have started reading more frequently as it is written by a women who speaks her mind as much as I do and has a brat pack of kids on a farm to boot.

She takes on the world blog – You can see why this blog caught my eye right? I have been reading a lot of “girl power’ blogs lately. (Probably because my husbands away and I’ve been tooting my own horn around the house and proving how much I don’t need him in a feeble reverse psychology attempt at convincing him not to go away for work again.) Once I clicked on this site I spotted the title “What to do when you fuck up with customer service’ …I was hooked on this girl in a matter of seconds.

Twig and moss for a bit of online browsing. I swear I wasn’t buying just browsing…my credit card is looking lame at present.

Architectural digest website for all things A & D.

Living green website featuring green homes. I love reading about eco friendly homes from all over, I just found this site randomly today while browsing, this site Eco Liv that makes pre-fab homes is also good to waste hours of looking at plans if that is your thing.
