Sunday session 15.5.16 ‘New format’

I am bored of the format of my sunday blog. It is more like a diary entry really and if I am bored of it then you must be too so I am thinking of mixing things up abit. I have no plan yet though so bare with me here..

Things I liked this week:

Things I didn’t like this week:

* An old man in an apollo travelling van who nearly wrote off my cute arse new car THE DAY that I got it this week. Copious amount of unladylike swearing was done in your direction mister but you didn’t notice because you are ignorant.

* Eurovision coverage on television… Seriously go away. Constant advertising for ‘The voice’ is bad enough, I cannot cope with eurovision, the voice AND election campaigning – I have turned my TV off indefinitely.

* A certain builder who is unhappy with me making ‘non standard’ tile selections for his client even though it costs him nothing additional. You are a lazy, grumpy old fossil with no imagination – go and  pour some more concrete.

* Cob webs. Actually not so much the cobwebs themselves but the fact that I have to dust them away or risk exposing my housewife laziness and general failure at housework.

Subway tiles. I know I whinged about his last week but I am still not over slagging this trend. White subway tiles scream 'I have no personality' to me. if you ask me for them in for kitchen I will be judging you Oh yes I will!

The top notch bun. This is NOT a hairstyle. This is you being lazy. I get really unusually angry when I see women with hair like this. Especially women on style blogs calling it a "go to no fuss hairstyle". You are failing at adult life with hair like this. Unless you are doing yoga, have a baby under 1 month old or are vacuuming your house you CANNOT get away with wearing your hair this way. Please not ever in public, have some self respect jesus!

I read a lot of design articles… like A WHOLE LOT … every day every week. Pretty much if I am not actually working at my day job or designing then I am reading about other peoples designing. That or daydreaming which I am also very accomplished at.

I am constantly thinking about products or colours or houses or homewards and I always think ‘Oh I’ll share that on sunday’ and then Sunday comes around and I sit here trying to remember all the shit I wanted to tell you and trying to find it in save bookmarks and little folders on my desktop and eventually I give up and look up new stuff to share, all while getting distracted by new design stuff that I want to read about and next minute it’s 10am and the washing isn’t going to hang itself.

I currently have 7 tabs on my laptop open with articles I am kind of half reading in between attempting to do housework this morning and somewhere in the middle of all that I started rearranging my art wall and now have 5 paintings sitting on the floor and i think the dog swallowed a nail but I still haven’t finished a blog post. Can you relate? I hope someone can, Happy sunday to you!
