Hello to 2017 and hello to all of you lovelies bothering to read this little blog in a sea of so many others.

I am back in Darwin by the seaside that I love and that makes me happy.

I am running with this as life inspiration for 2017 as in December I just turned a year older

I am still finding my creative little way this year so will spare you the inspirational bullshit and motivational dribble that everyone seems to be over-sharing this time of the year with proclamations of “I am going to save the world by smiling more and buying sustainable coffee after jogging every morning in my overpriced activewear wearing new sneakers made by child labour while telling all my friends I am going vegan because I can’t stand cruelty you know what I mean??

Or my other fave ever-so-popular-January catch cry of  “I am going to be good to myself and everyone around me because I will shut out negativity and give away all my belongings to the needy and give up booze and cigarettes and judging people and I’ll probably go and live in a cave in a part of India that I’ve never heard of because someone told me that’s where you find eternal peace and you should all join me otherwise you are all going to hell!  Please just stop. I have read too many blogs full of bullshit this year I think and we are what?…  3 weeks in. I am more about the real shit. The shit that is going to make me money and pay my mortgage and fund my expensive habits, Whether they are deemed good or bad by society I care very little for. If I like stuff then it’s ok in my books and you best believe I am going after the fun stuff.

I love design. Designing houses and spaces that people gather in and anything decor or style related is my special thing. I spent the past few weeks lying on the grass in a pretty little part of the world pondering what really makes me happy, what i think I am good at and what I want to do more of in the future and the answer is the same as it has been for me for so many years. Quite simply… I want to do more design! More creating, More art, More styling and more thinking about and researching all of those things so I am not going anywhere and my little business is going to keep on chasing those things and talking about them and making things happen for myself.

Now some stuff to share with you. I am nearly finished (and can’t get enough of) this book. I am loving this house in Cali. I am stalking and dreaming of my next holiday on this little island of Greece here and I am wanting to buy everything cheap, cheerful and boho goddess-like on this site. Ok that’s it from me for now.

I also wrote some design predictions for Darwinlife magazine here and so far I am pleased to say that they are all coming true as just a little over a month after I sent off a prediction of earthy tones and green being the next “on trend” colour for this year did Pantone announce ‘Greenery’ as the colour of 2017′ and vogue announce that terracotta is making a resurgence  – F#@k yeah WINNING!
